Karl Karlsen will go on trial for the 1991 death of his first wife. Following a preliminary hearing in Calaveras County, Calif., Judge Thomas Smith ruled Tuesday there is enough evidence for Karlsen to stand trial for first-degree murder. He will be arraigned Aug. 26. The hearing started last Monday, with testimony ending Friday. Among those testifying were Seneca County Undersheriff John Cleer.
